Just by accident - without comparing the whole book or just one chapter - my wife found this alter-is:

In all other issues of the same title which I have in my library, the sentence is per the original issue. These are the issues I have checked:

  • 1967
  • 1974
  • 1979
  • 1982
  • 1989

These "homo sapiens", who currently control Scientology and its materials, have no understanding for Rons invalidation of low level thetans and so prefer to change the works.
